I had an amazing stay at this boutique hotel in the heart of Tana. The building itself was stunning, and the terrace provided breathtaking views of the city. The room I stayed in was spacious, well-decorated, and had a balcony with a view of the lake. The staff were friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with any needs or recommendations. The food at the restaurant was excellent, although the presentation was a bit too fussy for my taste. The location was also very convenient, with many great bars and restaurants nearby. I highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Tana.

I recently had an amazing city trip at a luxurious boutique hotel in Antananarivo. The first thing that caught my attention was the breathtaking view of the Lac Anosy from my balcony. It was truly mesmerizing to wake up to such a beautiful sight every day. The staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and attentive, making my stay even more enjoyable. Additionally, the restaurant at the hotel served the most delicious and gourmet European food I've had in a long time. It was truly a culinary delight.
While my stay at the hotel was overall fantastic, there were a couple of minor issues. the plumbing efficiency in the wet room was not up to par, as the shower took quite a long time to drain and ended up flooding the whole floor.

This hotel is truly outstanding. The owner and staff provide excellent care and service. The location on the lakeside with a view of the Royal Palace is unbeatable. The interior is lovely, the amenities are top-notch, and the Wi-Fi is strong. The food at the restaurant is delicious, and the rooms are beautifully furnished with a luxury bathroom. The staff even prepared food for us despite our late arrival. an amazing experience.
Would definitely recommend this hotel.

The decor of The Citizen was absolutely charming, with its colonial French style and tasteful furnishings. It created a warm and inviting atmosphere that made me feel instantly at home. The general areas of the hotel, including the terrace and balcony, were beautifully maintained and provided breathtaking views of the city and lake. The hotel was easily accessible for senior people like myself, with ramps and elevators available, ensuring a comfortable stay.
If I could ask for one improvement, it would be to have more assistance available for senior guests. While the children working there were very kind and helpful, having additional staff trained to cater to the needs of older guests would make the vacation even more enjoyable for seniors.

Located in a upscale hillside neighborhood, run by a French gentlemen and partner. Inviting foyer with Madagassi art, beautiful French-style rooms with mosquito nets and spacious bathrooms. Stunning view from balcony. Superb restaurant with European-level service. Kind owners, helpful with organizing trips. Comfortable, luxurious oasis after modest accommodations.

During my stay at The Citizen, I was blown away by the luxurious experience. After weeks of modest accommodations, the spacious room with a king-sized bed and excellent wifi was a true haven. The breakfast, with its fresh juice, fruit, and flaky croissants, was a delightful change from the usual fare. The air conditioning in the room was a bonus, keeping the mosquitoes and noise at bay. And the best part? The restaurant served the best meal I had in Madagascar. I highly recommend this hotel for a truly luxurious and memorable stay.

The hotel's location on a hill offers a breathtaking view of the city, while still being close to Tana's best restaurants and shops. The rooms are beautifully decorated with vintage style, and the bathrooms are well-equipped and spotlessly clean. The staff provides exceptional service, going above and beyond to cater to guests' needs. The breakfast includes a variety of delicious options, such as fresh fruit, yogurt, and croissants. The hotel also has a large deck where guests can relax and enjoy a cool drink while overlooking the picturesque lake.
Communication with the hotel can be challenging due to language barriers, especially when making telephone calls.
